Here we are half through February 2010 already! The year is racing by. Time to knuckle down and get on with those new year resolutions...

Alert - domain name and web hosting renewals

Recently one of my customers was very professionally "conned" into registering a domain name she neither wanted or needed. Please be aware that if you purchased your domain name or web hosting through me you should not be receiving invoices from anyone else for their renewal. If you do, please DO NOT pay it. If you receive anything in the mail regarding web hosting or domain name registration and you are unsure what to do with it please call me. I have a full record of when your web hosting and domain is due for renewal and how much you should be paying for it. If you did not purchase your domain name or web hosting from me and are unsure about the details of your renewal - call me - there are ways of working this out.

Remember:

Domain Names are usually registered for a minimum of two years; and
Web Hosting is usually paid annually and sometimes on a monthly basis.

Just be aware - it could save you some money!

Free Online Directories are a great source of advertising. Depending on your business type, there are a number of directories which have free listing options - for example www.hotfrog.com.au and www.truelocal.com.au. In Google use the search term "free directory listing australia" for more.
